Pot CEO Offers $10k Bounty to Get Lebron to His Comic-Con Booth

Pot CEO Offers k Bounty to Get Lebron to His Comic-Con Booth

BudTrader Exec is Determined to Show Lebron the BudTrader Experience and Ask the New Laker a Few Pointed Questions

SAN DIEGO, CA, July 16– BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin is setting his sights on throwing the most hype party experience imaginable at San Diego Comic-Con International. The cannabis tech entrepreneur will offer $10,000 to anyone who can get NBA superstar Lebron James to attend BudTrader Nerd Headquarters at this weekend’s convention.

In a statement, McLaughlin laid out very clear rules for his bounty on LeBron.

“You can’t kidnap him,” stipulates McLaughlin. “No, I mean you literally can’t. He’s 6’8″, 300 lbs, has a 40 inch vertical and he’s the greatest athlete of our generation. So we’re going to have to appeal to Lebron in other ways besides brute force.”

The second rule put forth by McLaughlin is that LeBron has to hang out at BudTrader Nerd Headquarters for at least 23 minutes. “No walk through!” says McLaughlin, “We want to get to know him and see what he’s all about. Is he that into us? Is he here to win titles? Or is he here to go to Magic Johnson’s ‘how to become a billionaire and own an NBA team’ private school? What we really want to know is: “is he just waiting for the time to run out, punching a clock, stuck in this messed up LA traffic just like the rest of us, until he can retire and cruise for 22 year old models at sky bar like every other retired guy in LA?”

Thirdly, McLaughlin says that he will allow Lebron to ‘turn himself in’ by showing up to BudTrader’s Comic-Con experience on his own. In this case, BudTrader will donate the $10,000 reward to a noble cause. McLaughlin suggests that LeBron consider putting the money toward what he considers to be ‘the most noble cause’, hiring an In-N-Out Burger truck to come to the BudTrader experience at San Diego Comic-Con and feed the attendees from SoCal – Lebron’s new fans. The NBA megastar just signed on to the Los Angeles Lakers in an incredibly hyped decision. “If Lebron is a Los Angeles Laker now, and an LA guy, he needs to know about In-N-Out burger damn it! We’re trying to win and NBA Championship here people!”

Next, McLaughlin lays out the fourth rule for his LeBron James bounty: No smoking out LeBron! “Not the first time we meet him, at least!” he adds, following up with some solid reasoning, “Magic Johnson, The Lakers and his management team aren’t gonna let him near us if they think we’re gonna smoke him out. All we need is for Lebron to test positive for THC and get suspended by the NBA because of BudTrader. I have enough problems right now so… No smoking out King James people! Wait until we win a Championship and then we’ll smoke with Lebron, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Phil Jackson, Jack Nicholson and Rick Fox (I feel like since Rick Fox is a handsome dude, he’d be a good guy to have at the Championship after party sesh. Hot chicks probably follow him around and we don’t want the Championship after party to be a sausage fest.)”

BudTrader Nerd Headquarters is slated to be one of the most talked about events at Comic-Con, and is being touted as a live broadcast experience to rival even the big-budget studios and shows. “Our audience is going to be bigger than TV networks like TBS entire audience” McLaughlin said. The brand will host daily events like exclusive previews of movies and TV shows, video game tournaments (including a showdown between all-female professional gamers), celebrity interviews and live performances from a mystery top hip-hop star. The whole experience will be broadcast live across TV, radio, Twitch, and live stream in collaboration with local and national channels to beam the BudTrader Experience to millions of people. McLaughlin says the events that have been announced publicly so far only represent a fraction of the tricks BudTrader has up their sleeves to wow attendees of 2018’s Comic-Con International.

This will not be the first year that BudTrader has made a scene at Comic-Con. BudTraders infamous superyacht party of 2017 resulted in their controversial ejection after just two days. The Budtrader yacht was unceremoniously removed from the harbor in the middle of the night. This caused BudTrader to lose out on their planned Saturday extravaganza, along with tens of thousands of dollars in losses due to the cancellation. Last year, BudTrader’s presence at Comic-Con was covered by publications such as High Times, Times of San Diego, The San Diego Union Tribune and over 400 other news outlets.

BudTrader is the largest online cannabis marketplace, with platforms available in the 28 states where cannabis use is legal, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. With over one-million people registered to their platform, BudTrader’s user base rivals that of industry giants Weedmaps and Leafly.
